Your First Beaded Jewelry Design Made Easy

People think making your own beaded jewelry designs is hard. It isn't! I am going to walk you through an easy project. It is a stretchy bracelet. You only need three materials:

  • stretchy string- I use beadalon elasticity cord in a .5mm thickness. This can be found at any bead or craft store.
  • beads-Use glass, metal, or gemstones; whatever your preference.
  • beads in a different shape or coordinating color. This adds an element of interest and personal style that can't be found in department stores.

Start threading the beads on the cord. You should have enough beads to cover 7 inches. Have two more inches of slack on each end in order to tie a square or a sailor knot to secure your bracelet.

That's it. Making your own beaded jewelry designs is fun!
