Jewelry Making Instructions for Wire Lace Ribbon

Here are jewelry making instructions for wire lace ribbon. As part of your beaded jewelry designs don't forget to use unique cording. My favorite this year has been the wire lace ribbon. Above is a simple necklace I make with the following components:

Big Hole lampwork beads

sterling silver ribbon ends

sterling silver 4mm magnetic clasps

2 strands of .5 mm wire lace ribbon.

If the holes in your beads aren't big enough, you can use one strand of ribbon. Start by keeping your ribbon small. After you have strung your beads, gently fan out the ribbon for maximum romantic effect. This ribbon makes any piece look very feminine and sometimes vintage. Wire lace ribbon comes in different sizes and colors.

Some technical tips- if your bead holes are too large, make a knot before and after with the ribbon to keep them from sliding. If you aren't adept at ribbon ends, use a spot of glue for extra fold. Enjoy these jewelry making instructions for wire ribbon lace in your next beaded jewelry design.

Jewelry Making Instructions for the Branch Wire Necklace

I made this beautiful beaded jewelry designs from jewelry making instructions from the Bead Shop years ago. Many sites will offer free or low cost documents that have jewelry making instructions on how to achieve a certain jewelry design. I have found that some of them are good and some not so good. I really like the ones from the Bead Shop. The beaded jewelry designs are beautiful and the jewelry making instructions are clear and concise. You won't have any trouble following them. All of their jewelry making instructions pdfs are on 50% off right now through October 15 so you could get the instructions to make a necklace like this for only $4. I get a lot of compliments on this style and I have modified the instructions over the years to make even more unique handmade jewelry. This one really stands out because it is lightweight, goes easily with a lot of clothes, and is different from your average department store stuff. I used sterling silver wire and real crystal bicones. Have fun with your beaded jewelry designs in different colored wires and different stones.

Beaded Jewelry Designs for Men

Many artists leave out beaded jewelry designs for men, but you don't have to. I see more men buying chunky bracelets for themselves or for gifts for other men. There are definitely some key elements that you want to have in beaded jewelry for men. First of all, keep it natural and organic. No crystals or frilly stuff. When I think of a man's choker, I think of leather, suede, or rubber cords. I also think of organic jewelry making beads like bone, stainless steel, silver, gunmetal, titanium. I use large stainless steel hooks for clasps that are very simple and modern. You can't go too minimalist when designing for men. They love simple, bold and strong looking elements in their jewelry designs.

Choker lengths are popular as well as bracelets. I love the ball chains with the sterling silver dog tag around the neck. In fact, I have one myself. I have also seen that style used as a medic alert necklace that is very chic.

Rappers were the first to get men to show their bling, but even now many rap artists have switched from real diamonds to cubic zirconium in their beaded jewelry necklaces and bracelets. Most men on the street though will just look for a bracelet or necklace. So don't make your beaded jewelry designs just for women. Their are a lot of men who would love a special handmade jewelry design.

Beaded Handmade Jewelry Prices Will Be Going Up!

I know all of us that do beaded jewelry designs like to keep our prices reasonable - but have you noticed the increase in precious metals? I used to be pretty snobbish about my materials- only the best!
But with gold and silver prices going up-yikes! I just don't see my customers paying for that and my labor. I have even noticed the magazines with jewelry making instructions are showing high end designs with brass, copper, and silvertone base metal. Guess we are all cutting back in these times.
